Christmas Favorites!

Good afternoon! I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!!! On my last post I said I was going to do my Christmas favorites so here it is!

*By no means am I trying to brag about anything. I was blessed this year and got some wonderful gifts from people I love and I just wanted to share a few with you guys :)

This little candle doesn't look like much but it smells so good and it's my favorite color!

I've never really drank any other kind of tea except for iced sweet tea but my friend bought me a Starbucks mug and Irish Breakfast tea. So I'm going to give hot tea a try. By the way there was a joke that went with this gift; I like my tea like I like my men....Irish! (Niall Horan)

Next up is a magenta colored skater skirt. I got like three other skater skirts but I liked this color the most out of all of them.

I've recently discovered bodysuits and they're my favorite! That is why this floral bodysuit made my favorites. I also thought it looked nice paired with the skirt.

I saved my favorite for last.... my new parka! I'm absolutely in love with it. I really wanted a navy blue one but I'm very satisfied with this green one! It's from Forever 21 and it feels so nice inside. It's lined with white wool to keep you all cozy!

Blue Naturals?

Almost two weeks ago I went birthday/Christmas shopping. My friend, Grace, and I stumbled upon a new store in the mall called Blue Naturals. It was love at first sight. The store was like Lush and carried all sorts of goodies and theirs was even GMO free!

I couldn't make up my mind what I wanted because if I could I would've bought the whole store. The closest Lush to me is two hours away so I was one happy girl. The store was small with a good selection though. So I narrowed my selection down to three things. I wanted to test it to make sure the quality was good before I spent a whole lot of money in there.

So I picked up a Black Raspberry Vanilla bath bomb which smells fantastic!

The guy in the store let us try some of the Pink Berry Mimosa cream, which I instantly fell in love with. So I picked up the traveling size one. (It makes your hands really smooth!)

My favorite would have to be the Gingerbath Boy & Girl. How cute are they! They also smell amazing!

The boy's scent is Frosty Marshmallow, which once I took it out of the plastic wrapping it kinda smelled like a vanilla cupcake. Yum! When I used this one it turned my water blue which I was excited about because who doesn't love their water changing colors! It fizzed up a little but that was it. However, once I got in I had this silky feeling on my body which felt great.

The girl's scent is Peppermint Frosting and boy is that sucker strong! You can definitely smell the  peppermint in it but it's also got a sweet smell to it.

Overall I think their products are great so far. I will be making a trip back. I tried to see if they had a website but couldn't find one. So it makes me wonder if it's just a small company right now.

Let me know if you have one around you and if you like them :)

I'm Feeling 22

I don't know about you but I'm feeling 22..... Yep today is my birthday today and I've turned the magical number 22 that T-Swift sings about.

I spent the day with some friends and then went straight to church. No turning up for this girl. Even though it wasn't too exciting I still had a blessed birthday. Close friends and family is all you really need.

So a big thank you to the big man upstairs for giving me another year to live life and thanks to those who made this day special.

I'll just leave this here

Love you guys :)

Winter Outfit

Winter Outfit

So now that Thanksgiving is over the next big holiday is about to happen...my birthday!!!!! Ok well it's not technically a holiday to anyone but me, but still it's only five days away!

So I decided to go online and look for me a new outfit. Seeing as how I'm broke some of it will have to wait till Christmas.

From H&M:

Powder Pink Wool Blend Coat - On sale for $49.95
I've not been one to favor the color pink but I absolutely love this shade of pink for a coat

Natural White Short Sleeved Blouse - $29.95
What sold me on this blouse is the metal chain at the neckline...Love it!

Black Slim Fit Pants - On sale for $14.95
Um did you see the price?? Who doesn't need a pair of black skinny jeans for that cheap

Combat Boots - On sale for $19.95
Black boots to go with black jeans. What else can I say about them except they're perfect!

From Forever 21:

Quilted Faux Leather Crossbody - $22.90
I've never really liked purses, I usually just carry a backpack but I thought this crossbody bag complimented this outfit perfectly!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Good evening everyone and Happy Thanksgiving to all my American viewers!! Everyone else, hope you have a great day anyway!

As we sit down with our families let us be thankful for all the things we have in life. Even the bad things because they have had a hand in making us who we are. To those who have to work on this holiday, I'm truly sorry you wont be with your loved ones. Be thankful though, that you have a job as others do not.

I thought I would make a list of a few things I'm thankful for.

  1. A God who loves me
  2. Family
  3. Friends
  4. Church
  5. A warm house to live in
  6. A cozy bed to lay in
  7. Every breath I'm given
  8. All my little furry friends
  9. My car
  10. The wonderful food I'm about to devour

What are some things you are thankful for?

Hope everyone has a blessed day!!

Taste the Rainbow

So the other day I discovered a new YouTube channel to watch called Good Mythical Morning. Two guys, named Rhett and Link, are over the channel and they are hilarious. Now you're probably thinking, what does this have to do with tasting the rainbow?

On one of their videos they did a "does it cereal" challenge. They added random things to cereal to see if it was cereal material. The one that caught my attention was the skittles. They said the skittles themselves didn't cereal but the milk was fantastic. I looked at the comments and unbeknownst to me the UK actually sells skittles milkshakes.

Fear not, you don't have to travel to the UK to get a skittles milkshake. You can make your own...that's what I did at least.

I looked on Pinterest for recipes and there were hardly any except for one from a blog called The Fashion Visuals. I will post a link to her's at the bottom.

All you need is

1. A bag of skittles
2. Milk 1 1/2 cup
                            3. Vanilla ice cream (4 large scoops)

I poured about a cup of skittles in the blender then added the milk. I blended those together first and then added the vanilla ice cream. Blended it once more until all of it was smooth. Mine didn't turn out thick and to be honest I didn't know if it was supposed to or not. Also you can add whip cream if you want. I did but I swiped some with my finger and it tasted expired. So I scooped mine off.

After it was all blended together I poured it into the biggest glass we had and took a sip. OMG! Who knew the rainbow tasted that great!

It kinda tasted like the nerds ice cream you could used to get. It tasted amazing!

So if you live outside of the UK and can't get a skittles milkshake, just make one. It's a whole lot cheaper than a plane ticket.

Go taste the rainbow and enjoy!

Hair Hack!

So the other day I saw a link that showed like 13 hair hacks. I love shortcuts and anything that's easy so of course I clicked on it.  The one that interested me the most was the one that showed you how to get waves or something like that.

The girl in the picture had three braids: one on each side and one in the back. She then used a straightener on them. The directions said to run the straightener on them a couple of  times.

Me being me decided to do multiple braids. I then went over each braid probable five different times and I did it slowly.

Then I took out the braids and got this

Total fail. Not what I had in mind. I then went to post this blog but stopped on Pinterest and saw this:

So I decided to give it one more try but this time with only two braids.

I liked this outcome a whole lot better! It was more subtle, however, it still didn't turn out like I thought it would. Maybe if I would've went over it a few more times it would've turned out better.

It's still a good hair hack to quick waves though. If you've tried it let me know how it turned out!

#AlexFromTarget

If you were on twitter last night you saw all the craziness going on over a guy. Apparently a picture taken of an employee at Target was taken and posted to twitter. Then everyone began tweeting about #alexfromtarget.

Apparently his phone number was posted on twitter, which meant he had to change his number. Oh and let's not forget that his girlfriend was getting death threats!! What?? That's crazy. Then began the memes.

And of course more people started trending from others posting their pictures. I will say they are cute but my favorite would have to be....

#Brettthequarterback

Twitter can be a little bit crazy sometimes.

DIY: Ruby Red Slippers

For Halloween this year I'm dressing up as Dorothy. Dorothy signature item would have to be her ruby red slippers. Who wants to pay $20-$30 for a pair of shoes, that you probably wont wear but once, when you can make your own for about 10 bucks or so.

All you need is:

                                                       1. Pair of shoes
-I grabbed a pair from the Goodwill

                                                       2. Red glitter

                                                       3.  Glue (whatever kind you feel would work best)
                                                                    -I used tacky glue

                                                       4. Paintbrush

                                                       5. Big bowl

                                                       6. Newspaper

                                                       7. Sealant spray

Ok so the first thing I did was layout some newspaper because this can be messy. Then I proceeded by squeezing some glue on the shoe then spreading it out with the brush. I put the shoe over the bowl and sprinkled some glitter on it. Don't be afraid to be generous with the glitter because you can reuse whatever is left in the bowl.

I did mine in small sections and I ended up putting globs of glue on it. Don't do that! If the layer is of glue is thick it gradually droops down and it clumps up. Which means you have to scrape and redo. What were you thinking Hannah?

After you finish covering the whole shoe let it dry. It's going to be a little patchy because some of the glitter shook off. So once it dries a little you can put a little thin layer over the patches and sprinkle some more glitter.

I didn't have a sealant spray so I didn't get to spray mine. I highly recommend getting some so it will set the glitter in place. I plan on grabbing some Friday morning so make sure you grab some.

Now your ruby red slippers are completed and are ready for your costume and it cost half of what you would've paid for a pair at a costume store.

*The glue has dripped down a little on this one as you can see on the heel.

*Why you need newspaper. Too much glitter!!!

Enjoy!
